Our apartment is littered with all wood floors with some area rugs around, and Roomba cleans all surprising to him. Before having the Roomba, we would empty about once a week or so, and back every few days, but it was not enough to have allergies of my friend. Roomba's been a lifesaver. We run in a different room every day, so that each room is clean 1 or 2 times a week, and the floors look and feel so much better.
It's a bit 'strong, and our fundNeighbor works third shift, so usually you only when you come home at night and during weekend days. In general, we got a clean room on the day, and are sometimes empty room and then ran only to ensure that dust is kicked from the first time.
A note for people with allergies to dust: The first time we did, it was a lot 'of dust that had disappeared in the broom (I suppose) in small cracks in the ground. Thus, the first time weracing, I would wait for the bedroom door close, because it is not very happy: "I finished" song, then go to clean up and restart. A few days later he stopped to see so much dust, but (the filter vacuum at first – great! Have seen), and now friend, you can perform anywhere in the apt without being blocked.
The reason this gets only 4 stars: Occasionally will refuse to run, and the "Clean" button is orange / yellow, and flash rapidly when you try to escape. Whenthis happens, pull out the battery and make sure that all connections are clean. If you do not work, and then there are the cable plugs directly into the Roomba and just quietly leave for 2 or 3 days. (This was recommended on a forum Roomba.) Then he will run normally. This has only happened 2 or 3 times a year we were there, so not a big deal when you consider what is being done.
Overall this is a great buy, and I'm still glad we have every time I seethe heavy, noisy, dirty vacuum, which has been sitting untouched in the closet. Since ours is permanently damaged 532, there will probably be a model with programmable cleaning cycle, but it will definitely stick with the Roomba.
